Science Digest respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
We may collect account information such as your email address, nickname, avatar, and sign-in provider identifiers when you create or use an account.
We may also collect app information such as reading preferences, selected topics, default reading level, bookmarks, saved papers, and display settings.
If you subscribe, we may process subscription status and Apple purchase transaction identifiers to verify access. We may also process technical information such as server logs, request metadata, device/app requests, and error information.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide and maintain Science Digest, personalize your app experience, sync account settings, verify subscriptions, improve reliability, and protect the service.
Sign-In Providers
If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive information needed to create and maintain your Science Digest account, such as provider identifiers and email address when available.
Camera and Photos
If you choose to set a profile image, the app may request camera or photo library access. This access is used only for selecting your avatar.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers only as needed to operate Science Digest, process authentication, verify subscriptions, host data, or comply with legal obligations.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account in the app. Deleting your account removes your profile, settings, bookmarks, and account data. Apple subscriptions are managed separately by Apple and may continue unless canceled.
